Battle at Altmansdorf

On the heathland near Altmansdorf, two opposing forces converge....

Count Walden & Knights of St Walpurga arrive on the edge of the heath

Approaching them was Count Theobald and his retinue...

Both sides deployed...

Count Walden and the Knights of St Walpurga stood their ground,

with their flanks protected by a wood and a farm

Count Theobald and his men close the gaps as the archers exchanged arrows...

 

Both sides sent a small group to take control of the farm... they were soon in action...

Count Walden's men and the Knights charged....

Count Theobald's men held the charge, 

but were pushed back somewhat by the Knights of St Walpurga

Count Theobald's men win the fight to control the farm...

The main melee continues

Then Count Theobald's men get the edge

 and start to hack down their opposition...

Their opponents break and run for it, some of  Count Theobald's men give chase.
