The Battle of Punkleswitz....

Two of the marcher lords Count Theobald and Alaric, have caused much trouble squabbling amongst themselves and raiding other's domains.

Duke Wittendorf, Lord of the Marches, has joined his cousin Count Tiddenheim, plus Count Walden and the Knights of St Walpurga. Together they will bring the two recalcitrant Counts to heal.

Both sides will meet near Punkleswitz....

---oXo---

Duke Wittendorf, marches in the middle of Count Tiddenheim retinue...
Count Tiddenheim leads his men forward...
On their way to join him are Count Walden and his men, plus the Knight of St Walpurga...
Counts Theobald and Alaric with their retinues advance towards the field of battle.
They form up...

Their opposition led by Duke Wittendorf has also formed up....

the battle lines close slowly....

the Knights of St Walpurga have found a way through a small hamlet, to make a flanking move

The two sides move closer .....

the Knights of St Walpurga, make their flank attack.....
as the two battle lines crunch into each other.......
Count Alaric's men counter the flanking attack....
Count Tiddenheim's billmen and axemen get stuck in .....
A number of dismounted knights hit the center .....
The Dukes' forces are slowly gaining ground.....
Count Theobalds men are struggling to hold back Count Tiddenheim's billmen & axemen
The Knights on foot are making headway in the centre..
Count Alaric's men are managing to hold their ground....
The Knights in the centre make a gap...
The small reserve moves up to be ready to exploit the gap...
Count Theobald's men have had enough, they break and run.....
meanwhile Count Alaric and his men fight on....
but they lose heart and and flee as well....
